What lives on,
in
and around you?

This is what gives us our own unique identity, makes us who we are, and determines how we view the world around us.

Consider what you do and who you spend time with when you think of the person you want to be.

Now consider who looks to spend time with you. Are you helping others or causing problems?

Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

Just around the riverbend....

A walk in one direction may lead you to another.
You never know what is just around the riverbend....

                                                         one step after
                                                                                  the other

What will you find?
You will never know unless you look and see with not just your eyes but with your heart.
What you find may change your life.

There is a beautiful world underneath the trash.
If only we would stop and see it for what it is, lifting our gaze heavenwards.

"What I love most about rivers is:
You can't step in the same river twice
The water's always changing, always flowing"

Make a Difference

We live in a world that is not as it should be.

With hatred, pain, suffering, carelessness and so much more.

We like to be comfortable, doing what we know works.

Is this how we are meant to live?

I believe the answer is no.

We have a moral obligation to make things better in our lives and in the lives of others around us.

To take risks and to do the unimaginable.

This is huge and often overwhelming.

But it is possible.

So speak up, do what is right, do for others who are not able to give back in return.

We all have passions, skills and desires.

Use them!

Ephesians 4:1-3, 7
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.... However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ.
